Minutes Davidson Lake Association Board of Directors’ Meeting January 15, 2012

Attendees:

A Davidson Lake Association Board of Directors’ Meeting was held on January 15, 2012 at 1:30 p.m. at the Dumfries Fire Hall.

Ken welcomed Brian to his first meeting as a member of the Board.

Review of Minutes

Wayne moved that the minutes from the November 20th, 2012 Board of Directors’ Meeting be approved as distributed.  Andy seconded the motion.

Ducks

Ducks at Davidson Lake seem to be late to leave this year.  Janet Morton fed 28 mallard ducks this morning on the lake in front of their cottage.

Review of Minutes

Wayne moved that the minutes from the September 18th, 2011 Board of Directors’ Meeting be approved as distributed.  Andy seconded the motion.

Rumble Strips  - Andy reported that he had sent an email to Norman Clouston, who had forwarded it on to Duane Clowater of  TCH Highway Project Group but he has not yet heard anything back.

A  Davidson Lake Association Board of Directors’ Meeting was held on September 18, 2011 at 1:30 p.m. at the Dumfries Fire Hall.

Review of Minutes

Andy moved that the minutes from both the July 17^th Board of Directors’ meeting and the August 27^th General Annual Meeting be approved as distributed.  Don seconded the motion.

Review of the Annual General Meeting

Annual General Meeting August 27, 2011

The Annual General Meeting of the Davidson Lake Association was held on August 27, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. in the Dumfries Fire Hall.  There were 29 people in attendance.

Ken Donald welcomed everyone to the meeting

• Election of Officers –

Wayne Carnell conducted the election of officers.  As recommended by the Board and by acclamation, the following officers were re-elected:

Ken Donald, President

Andy Morton, Vice-President

Janet Morton,Secretary/Treasurer.

Ken showed the group a map of the area around the lake indicating the location of the 6 zones along with the names of two Directors for each zone.   Brian Hayden has replaced Roland Lagacy in Zone 3.

More Loons

We had 6 loons on the lake on the evening of August 27th.  Obviously they flew in from the river for refuge from the heavy rains anticipated from the hurricane.

Loons

Loons usually like to keep their distance but this past weekend they were seen near the shore AND boats. Here’s a good shot with Ken Donald’s new sailboat in the background. Photo was taken by Steven Stairs.
