We have for many years fed birds through the winter but this spring /summer we are enjoying the many colourful birds coming to our feeders. Currently the male Gold Finches are a brilliant yellow, the Purple Finches are beautiful red. We are also seeing Blue Jays, Hummingbirds, Chickadees, Woodpeckers and Mourning Doves. Below is a video of some of the birds visiting our feeders.
Our information session held at the Dumfries Fire Hall on May 22nd was very successful . Many lake area residents, land owners and cottagers attended to hear about the newly formed Davidson Lake Association and how the new association will work toward the preservation of the lake and it’s watershed to maintain our pristine lake for generations to come.
We hope you will attend our first annual meeting on June 26th at 11 AM at the Dumfries Fire Hall to support our efforts . At this meeting we will elect a slate of officers and vote on action priorities for the coming year.

The first annual meeting of the Davidson Lake Association will be held Saturday June 26th, 2010 at 11:00 AM at the Dumfries Fire Hall, Dumfries NB.
This meeting will be held to elect a slate of officers to follow and uphold the by-laws of the newly formed non-profit company “Davidson Lake Association Inc.”. The intention of the association is to be an educational body to help educate all who use the lake or it’s watershed to reduce the impact on the ecosystem and improve water quality. Further to this, the association will also help give “you” a bigger voice when dealing with industry, politicians and other organizations regarding issues such as road maintenance, garbage collection and impacts by heavy industry (i.e. – mining, forestry).
